Two Weeks' Notice
Silently, if you survey this brief
Rubato in your ‘cruise’, you might find,
In affected accents and caper of this kind,
Some gratitude, and much admiration:
Hot chocolate-like seraphic sensation
To compliment inspections and promenades -
Ice creams, conversations and charades.
Go on, hence, as you are -
Unflappable, (to a fault, who here can add?)
Primping your pretty hair; please never be ‘sad’.
Trespass, in a chance zephyr, God’s ‘creation’,
And know her all the way for your salvation.
